BEER REVIEW: Ska Brewing - Modus Hoperandi IPA

On this episode of JBear vs. Craft Beer, Justin “JBear” Smith tries a canned IPA in Ska Brewing’s Modus Hoperandi!

Could this be a beer that needs to be thrown in the can or the best canned beer in the world?

Major props to Ryan and Rachel for giving me this brew when they got back from a trip out west.

Cheers, guys!

BEER REVIEW: Weyerbacher - Imperial Pumpkin Stout

On another seasonal special of JBear vs. Craft Beer, I open up a Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin Ale! This one is a heavyweight in taste and is super bold!
"Like a pyramid for a pharaoh, we set out to make a bold monument for The King of the Pumpkins! This 8.0% ABV pumpkin ale is the mother of all pumpkin ales. It is heartier, spicier, and more “caramelly” and “pumpkiny” than its faint brethren!" -

On this Halloween edition of JBear vs. Crypt…I mean Craft Beer.

It’s made with 28 pounds of pumpkin per barrel!

Will it be a real treat…or a dastardly trick?!

Jester King Brewery - Heavy Metal Imperial Stout Review

On the 26(66)th episode of JBear vs. Craft Beer, JBear goes hardcore, face-painted, metal maniac-ed for Jester King Craft Brewery’s Heavy Metal Imperial Stout!

"Black Metal Imperial Stout, a.k.a. Suds of Northern Darkness, a.k.a. Iron Sword, a.k.a. El Martillo del Muerte. Black Metal is a cruel and punishing beer fermented by the sheer force of its awesome will. We are pretty sure that Kreator wrote the song “Impossible Brutality” about this beer while drinking it during their Extreme Aggression Tour." JBear goes black metal for Jester King’s Black Metal Imperial Stout from Jester King Craft Brewery from Austin, Texas! This is one of the Halloween specials from!
